The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) honors Heather Carine with the 2012 Pam Wegmann International Award.
The Pam Wegmann International Award was established in 2011 to recognize the contributions made by a member of the Association who lives outside of North America.
An accomplished business researcher with over fifteen years of experience, Carine owns and operates Carine Research (www.carineresearch.com.au), based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Heather volunteered as editor of AIIP’s member publication, AIIP Connections, for many years, helping to build the publication into what it is today.
She has also promoted AIIP visibility in Australia and internationally as part of her business and by presenting well-received sessions at two AIIP conferences.
“She is an energetic and collegial member of our association,” said Jocelyn Sheppard, President-Elect of AIIP.
President Scott Brown echoed these sentiments, saying “Heather is a tireless promoter of AIIP as an organization, and of the benefits of AIIP membership.”
The award selection is based on the contributions that the member has made to AIIP. The award recipient is selected by the AIIP Board of Directors.
The award is named in memory of Pam Wegmann, AIIP President from 2002 to 2003.
Ms. Wegmann was the owner of Information Matters, LLC, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The first annual Pam Wegmann International Award recipient was Michele Bate of Archer Van den Broeck, located in Northampton, United Kingdom.
