2012: The year of connections

Nov. 26th | Posted by 1 comments

December 2012

2012 has been a year of connections.

At the end of 2011, there was speculation in Research Tips that 2012 would see our choice of information sources continue to expand, your circle of contacts would remain a vital source, and twitter addiction may be cured! Two out of three isn’t bad.

During 2012, carineresearch.com.au was relaunched to take advantage of the social web.

Managing social media research tools

Linkedin and Twitter are important social media tools for keeping up to date with people, and what is being said by people and groups.

This year, there were Research Tips on why Twitter is good for you, and using Linkedin to stay in touch, find new important connections and promote your expertise.

Talking about research

During the year, I have enjoyed connecting with audiences and talking about research to information professionals, publishers, academics, clients, MBAstudents and business audiences.

My 3 top research tips to MBA students are a useful reminder for all researchers.

Whether via skype, round table discussions, lectures, or one on one, there is always something extra which comes from sharing research tips with one another.

Thank you for reading Research Tips throughout the year, for your support and generous comments.

I look forward to continuing to deliver helpful Research Tips to readers and audiences around the world.

In 2013 look out for Research Tips via webinar.
